SUN Meals

This summer, Maplewood Elementary School will be participating in the SUN Program's, SUN Meals (previously the Summer Food Service Program). Through this program, all children 18 years of age or younger may participate at no cost. SUN Meals may have a different name, but the benefit is the same: meals for kids and teens. The SUN Meals is a federally funded, state-administered program that reimburses providers who serve free, nutritious meals and snacks to children and teens in low-income areas when school is not in session. Foods will consist of pre-packaged items such as sandwiches, milk, vegetables, fruits, etc.
Distribution will be on Wednesday’s from 1:00pm-3:00pm, which will include lunches for four (4) days total to carry-out. Distribution dates will run from June 10th - August 6th (excluding July 4th). You must come and pick up lunches at Maplewood Elementary (front entrance), or arrange for someone else to pick up for you.
Please fill out the form below for accurate ordering purposes if you would like to participate. All are welcome to sign up!
If you have further questions or cannot access the electronic form to sign up, please call your child's main school office at (814)337-1659 or (814)337-1673 for assistance.
