God Sightings
Call to Worship - Unison Prayer (please stand) God, you are the power of liberation, calling your Servant Moses to lead your people into freedom, and giving him the wisdom to proclaim you holy law. Be our Passover from the land of injustice, be the light that leads us to the perfect rule of love, that we may be citizens of your reign; we ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Alleluia Amen.

Leader: In a world where powerful people make decisions to lift themselves up and cast others aside, how does God teach us to us our power?
People: God teaches us to protect the vulnerable, resist the oppressors, and persist in dong good.
Leader: On a world where power means might, how does God show us what power means?
People: God shows us through the midwives' daring, Peter's truth-telling, and Jesus' humility.
Leader: In a world where power is held over people's heads, how does God exercise power?
People: God exercised power with - the oppressed, with the outcasts, with the poor and downtrodden.
Leader: Beloved, we gather to recognize our world as it is and to grow as disciples and imitators of Christ. So, how will you use your power today?
All: We will side with the vulnerable, build community in the margins, and love all of our neighbors with the exuberant and all-encompassing love of Christ. To your glory, Amen.
