Opening Unison Prayer - (please stand) Heavenly Father, you spoke your word and revealed your good news in Jesus, the Christ. We pray that you fill all creation with the good news again, so that by proclaiming your joyful promises to all nations and singing of your glorious hope, we may become one living body, your incarnate presence in our community. Alleluia, Amen!

Leader: Unhappy is the person that does not understand the Lord, and makes earthly favor their strength, whose heart departs from the Lord.
People: For they shall be like a shrub in the desert, and cannot see the goodness of God, and stays in the parched places in the wilderness of their life.
Leader: But blessed is the person who knows the Lord, whose heart is with the Lord - in favor and in loss.
People: For they shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads our its roots by living water, searching for and trusting the Lord.
All: We shall not fear when drought arrives. Our faith and trust is with the Lord. Whatever we do will prosper and grow because our confidence is in the Lord. To your glory, Amen!
