Responsive Reading

Psalm 32: 1-5

Leader:  Children of God, take a deep breath.  Breathe in the goodness of God's abundance all around you.
People:  God's abundance is enough for all that we need.
Leader:  Think of all the things our society calls abundance.  Ever-growing bank accounts, possessions galore, status and notoriety - what are these things compared to Gods abundance?
People:  God's abundance is enough for all that we need.
Leader:  God's abundance notices the faithful, the poor in spirit, the downtrodden and those who grieve.  While unmet needs fill the coffers of corporations and those who are wealthy beyond measure.
People:  God's abundance is enough for all that we need.
Leader:  How, then, will you offer yourself up to God?  Like the pharisees of the widow?
All:  We will continue our calling as the Body of Christ, who trust in God's faithfulness to provide - because God's love and abundance are enough to meet all our needs.  To your glory, Amen!
