This is one of my favorite scriptures. Not from an uplifting perspective but from one of challenges. Yes, we are to take care of our neighbors that are struggling or marginalized. But when we have grown in the Spirit sufficiently, we do not even recognize that we are doing it. The helping, the being a servant has become who we are not something we do. It is in these moments that we are approaching Christ like behavior because we are giving not for what we might receive back but from a place of agape love.
We must remember that but by the grace of God we could find ourselves in time of need. We are blessed. So, let's take that grace and share it with others reflecting God’s love to others as Christ commanded us to.
