Have you ever done something and immediately thought I should not have done that? I think we all have. We have all also done things that are good and instantly felt a warm glow in that action. This scripture explains this to us.
When we sin, we know it and a little piece of us dies in the process. But what is a sin? A sin is any act that separates us from God ad Godโs love. And without God in your life there can be no peace. We are hardwired at creation to love and serve others. The evil of this world works constantly to separate us form this connection to God.
When we do what is right, we are following that Spirit that is God within us and we feel the light and love that is God in us. Making us a piece with God and ourselves. There is a poem that has been part of my life since high school called โThe Man in the Glassโ. When I read this now, I think of it in terms of Godโs Spirit looking back at me and when the Spirit is pleased then I have a life of Peace and Joy.
