What do we get when we follow Jesus as Lord and Savior? That is the $100 question. We all have experienced that satisfied feeling when we have been able to help someone. That feeling is like none other. And why is that? Because we were made in the image of God and God is love. When we do the very things, we were created for we are content.
When we find this, ourselves living as the Spirit directs, we have a calm that passes human understanding. We know the love, joy and peace that can only come from God. And through that Spirit of knowing God, we can then practice patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. These are the very attributes that God has for each of us. And in the service of the living and loving God is where we find our own satisfaction.
